About the Distillery

Mars Shinshu Distillery was established by Hombo Shuzo in 1985.

Hombo Shuzo has been producing authentic shochu in Tsunaki, Kagoshima since 1909 and entered the whisky business in 1949. Later, whisky began to be distilled in Shinshu as well.

Distillery Tour

At the distillery, panels display the history of Mars Whisky, which began in 1949.

You can also view the actual production equipment, such as fermentation tanks and pot stills, from the observation walkway.

During the production period, you can see the actual production process.
